This setting of a 15th-century anonymous Christmas text was written for the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers during their inaugural season. Joyous and upbeat as well as challenging, it requires excellent singers and instrumentalists at the college or professional level. The exact instrumentation is 1111, 2210, percussion (one player), harp, and strings.
