This anthem was originally scored for soprano sax, organ and chorus, but I also have it available for trumpet instead of sax. The text is taken from Psalm 145.
St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN commissioned the work as a surprise for Kelvin Miller, their Music Director since 1971. We rehearsed it in secret and sprung it on him during worship on May 13 , 2001. The dedication reads "Commissioned by St. James Lutheran Church, Burnsville, MN with thanksgiving to God in honor of Kelvin Miller's thirty years of music ministry on his fiftieth birthday."
