Composer's Notes:
This was written for the First Unitarian Society Orchestra (Minneapolis) in 1985 when Cary John Franklin was their conductor. I was very deliberate not to create an overly challenging score, especially for the strings, so this work is definitely accessible to the average amateur community orchestra. It is in three movements, and the exact instrumentation is 2222, 2200, percussion (one player), piano and strings.
